Jody Sperling/Time Lapse Dance appears at The 42nd Annual Battery Dance Festival, which features LIVE in-person and LIVE-STREAMED performances at Rockefeller Park in Battery Park City. Sperling performs two of her acclaimed Loie Fuller-style solos. In American Elm, she explores human kinship with trees. In Piece for a Northern Sky, she finds transcendence in a prolonged whirl. Music for both works is by environmental composer Matthew Burtner.
